Der Grüne Punkt sign, also known as Green Point sign, was developed in Germany.
It informs that the goods and the packaging are intended for recycling, and the manufacturer or seller has ownership of this packaging, i.e. the packaging or the product is returned back to the manufacturer or seller.
Outside of Germany, this sign is placed on products by companies that provide financial assistance to the eco recycling program called «Есо Emballage».
